Well, this is not what i'm after. Miniatures does not include the
size of wine bottles served on planes. It is a group of folks who
collect really tiny bottles of everything.

For example, if you look at this link you provided:
http://www.karenairdminiatures.com/index-fr-pubs-bars.html
you will see the bottles are 1 inch high. Not much wine would fit in
that.

Any ideas on the question as I originally asked it?

Hi again. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to get through your question the
first time around. The one you are looking for are called
half-bottles.

The following sites sells wines in small bottle versions:

Oh dear. I'm afraid I must not have been very clear. I apologize!

What I'm after here is places I can order (by mail, not at a
restaurant) the size bottles served on a plane.

You are linking me to wine.com and a couple of restaurants that sell
1/2 bottles (375ml). You can NEVER get this on an airline.

Airlines only serve single serving size - 187ml bottles.

If you have any leads, please let me know

Forgive me also r2-ga for not answering the question head-on. I will
look deeply into this please just give me some time since most of the
publications are about miniature bottles and small sized ones. I have
already determined the term and such bottles are called "splits" I am
now looking for sellers.

If this is still not what you require "splits" please tell me in
advance. I am determined to complete this very interesting research
project. Thanks for being patient.

Hi again and I hope I get it right this time.

According to articles I have read what we should be looking for are
called quarter bottles of wine.

McCambridge’s Quarter Bottles of Wine
http://www.mccambridges.com/wholesale/wine/quarter/quartbot.html
http://www.mccambridges.com/wholesale/Contact/contact.html (contact
info)

An exporter of such wines and a number wherein you could order.

Pacific Wide Trading Ltd. (Hong Kong)
http://www.pwtweb.com/PWT/F&B/einig.htm
http://www.pwtweb.com/PWT/index.htm

---------------------
The following articles are my basis for calling them “quarter bottles
of wine” and that these are the type of wines served at airlines.
VAA Introduces New Wines

Hospitality Tourism and Leisure

A STING IN THE TAIL

I do hope this is it or this is close. If not please give me another
chance to clarify this question. Again thanks.
