Question ID: 178074
I am looking for the name and "where are they now?" info for the
man/woman who composed the music for the Megaman I video game for
Nintendo. This question is difficult because video game companies in
the 80s would often keep the name of their talent secret, so that they
couldn't be snatched up by other game companies.

Hence, in the Megaman I credits the music is attributed to:
C. Manami & Yuukichan's Papa 1987 Capcom Co. Ltd.

This is a pseudonym, not the real name of the composer. The Rockman
(Japanese) version of Megaman lists the composer's name as
Chanchacarin Manami. There are other spellings out there too floating
around (e.g.
Chanchobin Manami, Manami "Chanchacorin" Gotoh).

Manami and Y. Papa show up again in the credits for Megaman 2:
Megaman 2 Manami, Ogeretsu, Ietel, Yuukichan's Papa

To answer this question completely: you must provide the authentic
name of the composer, what other music they've produced (if any), and
what are they doing now.

Good luck.

You may consider increasing the list price of this question to $50+.

Due to the fact that I have been agressively searching for the same
information for a long, long time, I would suggest increasing the
price.

Sorry, the answer is not worth more than $25 to me. I was just asking
out of personal curiousity since I am a fan.

I figured the spirit of Google Answers was more in line with the "open
source" movement. If you were interested in knowing something, you
could post it and have somebody who did know help you out. The "price"
serves as a "thank you" reward.

Instead, Google Answers appears to be more of a bidding market, with
the price being the incentive for revealing or researching an answer.
If this is the understanding, then I don't find the "GA Researchers"
request to raise my price to $50 (and thus, tainting my question) so
obnoxious.

I tried looking for the answer but only found links to soundtracks.
Personally, since I'm a fan of Mega Man/Rockman, I thought the fee was
more than generous.
