The April 1994 issue of Esquire magazine has an article on Tony Robbins. Part of the article states the following: "You remove the electrodes from your scalp and arise. The electrodes are connected to a machine, about the size of a radio, called Electra-Sleep. Through the night it flooded your brain with electrical impulses, herding the right and left hemispheres into one entity, driving you down into a deep slumber where the silence is profound." Whats the story with these machines? What are they supposed to do? Do they work? Are they safe? What is the best type or brand to get? How much are they? Can they be bought in Australia? |

Of interest to you might be MindDrive, a device that allows you to control a computer screen, etc., using your thoughts. It works by measuring physiological changes of the skin transferred through a cuff slipped over the finger. |

Ran across your question about mind machines. I used them for years in my success mentoring clinic in California...along with a remote-sensing EEG and the Monroe Hemi-Sync tapes. Yes...these devices do indeed yield many of the reported benefits. But you often have to "ease into" them. If you're curious, I have posted some useful articles at http://www.quantum-self.com/home.htm. |
