I recently quit my job. I participated in a flexible spending
account. I was told I can only submit claims for reimbursement up to
the last day of employment. This is in regard to a medical spending
account that has ~450.00 dollars in it, and there is no way I have had
that much out-of-pocket medical expenses. A previous employer where I
had a similar situation allowed me to submit claims through the
calendar year. The company I worked for is based out of New York. Do
I have the right to claim reimbursement on the balance of my medical
spending account?
