I have an Inspiron 8200, Pentium 4M 1.8ghz. I am running windows xp. The bios and Sandra both report that my proc can run at 1.8 and 1.2 ghz using speedstep technology. I have only been able to run in 1.2 ghz mode. There is no flag in the system tray. There is no "speedstep" tab in the power options folder. It does not matter if I am running off a battery or ac power. I have talked to dell and they have no answer for me. I have flashed the bios and and reinstaled windows. How do I get the speedstep technology to work? |
