Microsoft reports that the IntelliMouse with IntelliEye can capture 6,000 pictures per second. Resolution wise it rates at 300 dpi (dots per inch) for TIF, and 72 dpi for JPEG. For more information on the technology, visit the links below (the second link is images of all Microsoft Mice, but it does have the actual resolution numbers): http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouse/tech.asp http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/images/gallery/hardware.asp |

I think you want to definitely get a refund on the above answer - he's just given you the resolution of the pictures of the site! The mouse takes 1500 images per second and can process 18 million instructions per second (your typical optical mouse can process 1.5 million instructions per second). This is the "resolution" you are referring to, as it all boils down to how many times a second the mouse scans the surface it's resting on in order to figure out whether it's moving or not. |

Website below states 1500 images per second, but the above is stated at 6000, take your pic. http://www.arstechnica.com/reviews/4q99/msmouse/msmouse-1.html |
