If you know the answer (ie you've seen the act and enjoyed it), it's a
no-brainer. I'd prefer a bunch of comments, and reward someone after
I've enjoyed the act myself - but if you are condfident, answer...

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is kicking off. I am
definitely intending to see Arj Barker, Marijuana Monologues and
Boothby Graffoe. I want to see at least a couple more.

I Want:

Risky, unPC, surreal, stand-up.

I Don't Want:

Old, PC, theatre, cabaret, singing, Australian (I can see the Ozzies
any old time...)

I Don't Want reviews, I want personal recommendations - there has to
be a few Researchers with a funny bone..

Tips and bonuses and extra Researcher-specific questions and slaps on
the back / kisses on the cheek for anyone who helps me out with an
evening of merriment and mirth, rather than this:

Any reinforcement of my initial choices is also welcomed...

PS This is only my second ever question, so apologies if I
mis-understand anything about how this works :)

Rob.

Hi Rob,

Suggestions on what to see... none, but now you can talk up a storm in
your question.

I did hear the Marijuana Monologues are hilarious though... enjoy.
WebCam! Lucky you!

(No, you weren't doing anything bad when I viewed you!)

Happy Commmenting!

I'm not feeling so talkative now, but I'll post a comment just because
I can. It appears that the questioner cannot comment until someone
else does. Which kinda makes sense the next morning...

"Candidate" is on at La Mama (for just AUD$10) and I've been told by a
couple of people involved in its production that it's really worth
seeing. I'm going. It's apparently very funny but, given the state of
the world at the moment, I worry that it might be more educational
than entertaining.

In addition, if you can, go see Richard Stubbs. He is brilliant. He's
a very funny guy and he's one of those who 'gives back' to the
industry i.e. he fosters new talent. He's hosting a show (I think it's
called "Le Joke") with some comedy wannabes. I wouldn't miss him for
quids.

Hope you enjoy Melbourne.
