I have found two prayer books with this title: one from 1888, and one
from 1927 in its 25th printing.

Do you have any more information on this book -- year, author,
publisher, place of publication, number of pages -- that might help us
to narrow down which version you have?

I'm not able to translate German so I don'tknow date but the words
under the Perlen der Andacht appear to be Gebet-unb Etbounngsbudj(the
jmay be wrong I really can't make it out). The book has an inscription
in it that appears to be dated October 1900Its faded but I'm pretty
sure that is the date I see.

I have found some more books, from various years (including 1900),
with this title, and some apparently with variations on the subtitle.

Could you describe the book in a little more detail, including any
words (as best you can decipher them) on the page or pages inside the
book that appear to give title/subtitle/basic description and
publishing information, as well as the approximate number of pages?

At this point, I could give you a general idea about prices for
"Perlen der Andacht" books, but if you could narrow it down, perhaps I
could give you a more specific estimate.

The book has 397 pages numbered in one section then 51 pages numbered
in another small section. The last printed page is titled Inhalt.
There are two brightly colored pictures in the front of the book. The
first one is of Christ on the cross with four figures standing around
the cross and one kneeling hugging the cross at Christ's feet. The
second one is a colored Title page with four cherubs or angels one on
each corner. On the bottom of the third printed page appears to be
the name Genjiger Brothers. on page 15 0f 397 in the middle of the
page is the words Gebet am Donnerstage. Hope this helps.
                                  Thank you for your time,
                                                               Linda

I haven't come across the specific book that you've seen. Perhaps I
will find it at a later date, or perhaps another Researcher will find
it.

In the meantime, let me ask: Do you think the third printed page might
say "Gensinger Brothers"? Also, is the word actually "Brothers"?
(That could indicate that the book was published in an
English-speaking country.)

After I looked at the book closer the word is brothers and above the
words Benjiger Brothers is the words New York, Cincinatti, and
Chicago. So you are correct about it being printed in America.
