What is the name of the story and book title, both by Howard R. Garis, author of the Uncle Wiggily books (c. 1940's), in which Uncle Wiggily uses bubble gum to repair his bicycle tires? Hint: It is not in either Uncle Wiggily's Story Book or Uncle Wiggily's Travels. My goal is to find the book, as it was my favorite book as a child. | |

Hello Today-ga, At Ebay there are many vendors selling Uncle Wiggily books. I sent an e-mail message to a large number of them asking if their book has a story in which Uncle Wiggily uses bubble gum to repair his bicycle tires. Hi today, A good number of booksellers have replied to my email enquiry and have confirmed that the following books do not mention Uncle Wiggily repairing his bicycle tires with bubble gum. However, I can't say for sure that they looked through their copies page by page - it is possible they just looked at the Table of Contents. The only book that I am 100% certain that it's not the one you are looking for is "Uncle Wiggily's Airship" because I checked our own copy page by page. I'll let you know if I hear back from anyone else concerning other titles. Perhaps another researcher will have better luck... hummer Uncle Wiggily And The Sleds Uncle Wiggily and the Rocking Horse Dottie and Willie Flufftail Bedtime Stories Uncle Wiggily and the Apple Dumpling Uncle Wiggily Plays Indian Hunter Uncle Wiggily and the Pirates; or, How the Enemy Craft of Pirate Fox Was Sunk; -and- How the Bobcat Nearly Spoiled a Nutting Party; -and- Uncle Wiggily and Nurse Jane Gather Mayflowers Uncle Wiggily and The Peppermint Uncle Wiggily and The Apple Dumpling Uncle Wiggily and The Canoe Uncle Wiggily and The Barber Uncle Wiggily and the Red Spots Stories Around The Year & The Uncle Wiggily Book Uncle Wiggily and His Funny Auto Buddy and Brighteyes Pigg.
