These units are no longer in production by Sharp. I want name and full

Hi there bwll77-ga
Since you seem to be needing a bulk amount, I'd like to recommend that
you try talking to SH Jang. He's an English-speaking Korean dealer
for these kinds of outdated peripherals. I'm sure he'll have at least
few himself and he should be able to check the Korean market on your
behalf.

Attention tox-ga. Thank you very much for your lead. At least it is
something fresh; and seems promising. I have been searching myself for
some time now without any luck. I have emailed the Korean gentleman
you suggested and am awaiting his reply. I will immediately inform you
of any progress. I am very new to this Google Question/Answer thing.
Great idea though! I am not sure if you can read the other
answers/comments I am receiving. But two others have come in. One
informing me of two sites I already know about and who dont have
stock. The other one informing he has made a contact and is awaiting
reply. I suspect strongly he has found the Canadian site www.pygmy.com
who have been advertising what I am looking for but dont actually have
it! So yours seems to me to be the only "fresh" lead. I am keeping my
fingers crossed and if the stock I am after is available I will not
only pay you your entitlement of $20 per unit but give you a generous
tip as well. Kind regards and thank you from: Roger Bell (bwll77-ga)
p.s. Am I out of order signing my correct name?

Attention: jinwoo-ga
Thank you for your input and two recommended/suggested sites. The
first site www.pygmy.com are a real pain in the butt! They advertise
that they have the CE-126P thermal printer when in fact they dont! I
have been to them twice previously. On the last occassion I
respectfully suggested they update the details on their site. I cannot
see the sense in what they are doing but there you go there are some
"strange" people around. The second site you recommednded is the
Austalian Sharp web-site; and again they definitely do not have any
stock. I have checked just about every Sharp site on the planet with
no luck at all. At one stage the Australian site informed me they
could get me 9 units from Germany and after waiting 3 months they did
not turn up. Nonetheless I thank you for you efforts in trying to
assist me. At this point in time I am awaiting the outcome of an email
to a Korean gentleman and will keep you informed of any progress in
this matter. Again thank you very much from: bwl77-ga (Roger)

Hello and thank you denco-ga;
Yup, it looks good! With just a little bit of luck they might even
have more than one. To take the least line of resistance I have simply
emailed them in english mentioning my Visa Card and giving them all
but the last four digits. My logic being that they will certainly
recoginze the words "Visa Card"; and hopefully call in the local
speaker of english. If that fails I will find a Japenese speaking
person to email them in Japenese them for me. I will keep you
informed. Again thank you very much from. I am most grateful and will
be more than happy to pay you $20.00 for every unit I am able to
purchase from them: Kind regards from: bwll77-ga

I would like to add that the second source, Abyte from Germany, is the
one I have found, too. I wrote them an e-mail asking for confirmation
of availability two days ago; they have not responded yet.

Should they answer my request, I will post it here. But a the moment,
they appear rather unreliable to me.

Dear bwll77,

After finding lots of sites that provide specs and detail, I
finally found a Japanese site that actually has an order form
with the CE-126P on it.

Naturally, I can't read the text. But clicking on the order link,
and entering 25 units, actually came up with prices - not anything
that looked like an out-of-stock message.

http://spec.pasoq.co.jp/spec/specinfo.asp?sku=SH10379036

They provide phone numbers at the top of the page.

You may want to see if you can communicate with them?

To: taxmamma-ga
Thank you for your direction to the Japenese site. I took the easy
route and simply telephoned the number displayed on the site. After
waiting patiently for about 10 minutes for them to find someone who
spoke english I was informed, very politely and very apologetically
that they do not have provision for delivery outside Japan.
Unfortunately i was unable to ascertain the availability of stock. So,
yet another brick wall for me! I will be in Hong Kong on business on
13th, 14th and 15th of April, and am so desperate to get these
CE126P's that I am serously conidering flying over to Japan whilst I
am so close. The biggest problem, of course, will be communication. If
I could ascertain that they do actually have stock available I would
definitely fly to Japan from from Hong Kong. Is it possible (with your
experience in these matters) to ascertain the availability of stock,
perhaps via some language conversion program????. Please advise if you
can assist further and likewise I will keep you informed of any
further progress from this end. Kind regards and thank you from:

Hi bwll77,

As it happens, I have a friend who has done a great
deal of business with the Japanese computer industry
and speaks Japanese.

I have asked him to contact these people and see if he
can get you a definitive answer. Also, since it appears
to be nearly impossible to find them online, and he does
have contacts, I have asked if he knows a source of
these sharp printers for you.

Let me get back to you tomorrow.

Attention: taxmamma-ga
Thank you sincerely. I can now see why others speak so highly of your
efforts and ability to provide answers and solutions to a mulitude of
diverse questions and/or solutions to problems such as mine. As you
rightly say it just about impossible to find the CE-126P's online. I
personally seached for about 3 months before learning about and
deciding to try the "GA" service provided here. I am actually bringing
my business trip to Hong Kong forward 7 days. I will now be in Hong
Kong on 7th 8th and 9th of April 2003. If we can determine the
availability of stock I can stop off in Japan on my way to London from
Hong Kong and pick them up if they do not deliver outside of Japan as
I was informed. Please let your friend know that I am prepared to pay
by Credit Card or immediate telegraphic bank transfer for all the
stock they have up to 100 units. If this comes off I will provide both
you and your Japenese speaking friend with a really nice tip to
express my appreciation. Kind regards and thanks again from: bwll77-ga

Dear bwll77,

I received confirmation of availability from Abyte in Germany!
They wrote the following:

 --

"We would like to apologize for the delay.

Currently, we can supply you ca. 35 Sharp CE-126P Thermal Printers
from stock.

The printers are in original packaging, incl. complete accessories
kits and manuals in German/English/French/Spanish/Italian.

Pricing:
1-9 units ............. 49.00 Euro per unit
10-29 units ........... 46.00 Euro per unit
more than 30 units .... 39.00 Euro per unit"

 --

Please note: You will have to negotiate with the company over delivery
conditions. Abyte normally delivers, because of the expenses, to
domestic German customers only. But since you are willing to spend up
to 1365.00 Euro with them, they should be capable to offer you a
solution for this (perhaps delivery via a broker or an intermediary).

you hit the Jackpot for me. I am so excited I am replying to you
immediately. I have yet to make contact with the supplier you have
found with stock. But I am about to do that right now. I will be
purchasing the entire 35 units they have immediately available and on
my reckoning makes you entitled to USD700.00 ($20.00 per unit X
35units=700).Subject only to them having the stock. I will be
contacting them and placing my order and paying for the stock right
now if that is possible. I will notify you immediately they have

YeaH! Sure is fantastic! After all the time and effort I have spent I
had just about given up. Since my last communication to you I have
emailed a firm order through for the 35 units they currently have. I
have also followed that up by faxing them a copy of the order. I am
currently in Australia (about noon now) so I am not sure what time it
is in Germany right now. But immediately they confirm the order I will
advise you. I am departing for Dublin via Hong Kong and London next
Saturday week 5th April on my way to Dublin, and have requested them
to obtain me a price to Fedex them to my Dublin Office. Keep your eye
out for some more! With the delay that occurred I thought you had
probably fallen upon a site in Canada called www.pygmy.com who have
been advertising these units for years but don't actually have any
stock. I am just so happy that you seem to have hit pay dirt! I
actually did know there were some in Germany somewhere; but I have
been to busy in business to really focus on finding it myself. Your
efforts and skills are much appreciated. I will now be becoming a
regular user of this service. It's a fantastic idea ("G/A" that is).
Will keep you informed. Kind regards from: bwll77-ga

YeaH! I seem to have got lucky when scritpor-ga hit pay dirt with a
find of 35 units in Germany. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that
your Japenese speaking friend will locate some more on that Japenese
site. I still need another 65 units. And this has become so "exciting"
for me that I might just put out another request for more after that
we find the first 100. Importantly I have not had my order confirmed
from the German supplier as yet. It looks pretty good though as
scriptor-ga actually had his/her enquiry confirmed so I basically have
to wait for the GermanSite to wake up and see my order! Anyway
TaxMamma I am backing you in to locate the second batch from Japan. So
keep at it I appreciate the effort being put in by you and everyone
else. Thanks again from : bwll77-ga

Attention Everybody

This is bell77-ga.

Some time back (about 3 months ago) I located 15 refurbished units
somewhere in Canada. Definitely not from: www.pygmy.com!!!!But it was
in Canada somewhere. I was waiting for this guy to set up arrangements
to receive payment through PayPal as that was his preferred method of
receiving payment. The laptop computer I was using "crashed" and I
lost this guy's email contact details etc etc. I was on the move and
did not have time to track him down, at the time. I pass this info out
to all of you in the hope that someone might be able to track him down
and locate those 15 refurbished CE-126P's. To make this "game" a
little more exciting I will throw in a bonus "Tip" of USD100.00 on top
of the $20.00 per unit I am already offering. Good Hunting EVERYONE,
and many thanks to all of you from: bwll77-ga

Attention: Scriptor-ga

Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE! It's 9.45pm here where I am right now in
Queensland Australia and after what seems like an eternity I have just
received a fax back from Germany which I will quote verbatim:

"Unfortunately, we can only ship within Germany and only cash on
delivery. Can you contact your partner in Germany to have the CE-126P
sent to him? Kind regards from the team"

Firstly, I don't have (nor have I mentioned) any partner in Germany.
Secondly, I clearly gave them my Order Number as 0077: for 35xSharp
CE-126P Thermal Printers etc. I gave them the order for 35 units and
offered immediate cash payment. In their hand written reply they say
and I quote " to send the CE-126 to him". They are clearly talking
about 1 single unit. I don't believe this!!!! Why do these people have
web sites and don't wish to sell internationally. Like that mob in
Canada that advertise that they have stock when in fact they don't. I
have also struck this business of not willing to sell outside their
own geographic area so many times it is quite unbelievable (to me as
an energetic world travelling successful businessman). Anyway
Scriptor-ga I am going to ask you to do your little bit for what I am
offering you. Can you please make contact with them again, and perhaps
clarify the following: 1. Do they actually have 35 units they wish to
sell. If so will they accept my credit card or an immediate
Telegraphic Transfer into their nominated bank account for full
payment of the units. 2. Can the 35 units be left there until I can
find the time to travel to Germany to collect them. I am suspecting
and dreading that when they say "only cash on delivery" they mean it
literally. I just dont believe this. Anyway Scriptor-ga I've had a
long day from 5am and I'm now going to have a couple of chardonays and
off to bed. I'll check for any fresh info and/or your comments about
all this in about 7 hours time.
Good night for now over and out till morning time here. From:

Attention: Scriptor-ga
Hi this is bwll77-ga again. It's now well after midnight here where I
am. I could not go to bed before trying to settle this thing. To date
I have sent them five faxes. I will now quote verbatim their last one
to me:

"Hi Roger, unfortunately we cannot handle credit cards. Just old
fashioned money for goods. After 15 years in business we have become
old fashioned. There is another problem: There may be customs charges
and 35 X Ce126 are quite hard to carry. (not only bulky but quite
heavy....) If you come to Germany a visit to us would be too time
consuming. And please do not send any money in advance! Best wishes
from the team"

Do you believe this Scriptor?? I don't. I must be asleep and dreaming
all this. O.k. I have cut and pasted my final email to them below:

FAX to: The abyte.de team

49 571 – 3201318

I have 3 more genuine (serious) suggestions:

1.	Please fax me your bank account number and I will
     immediately telegraphically transfer you :€1365

2.	Or I can Western Union you the cash money! €1365
(if you want actual physical cash)

3.	Or I can send €1365 to your local Post Office in cash
       telegraphic transfer.

The weight of each CE-126P is only 235grams.
Total weight is for 35 units is less than 10kilo
And this is my cost, not for you to worry about.
I will pay for all transport costs.

As for customs charges you only pay customs charges when you bring
goods into a country not take them out!!

I am a serious business man trying to do business with you and you
seem to be “playing games” with me. Why I don’t know. I am not
Americian!! I am an Irish, presently in Australia but returning to
Dublin in 2 weeks.

If you are “old-fashioned” why on earth do you have a website. This
whole thing does not make sense to me. I wish you would just be honest
with me. If you do not have The stock then just say so. I genuinely
want to do business but for some strange reason you are refusing it.
This just does not make sense. Please explain your motives or reason
to me. Once this order is complete I wish to purchase 100 Sharp
PC-E500 Hand Held computers. According to your website you keep these
in stock also. Do you want my business or not???
P.S. I am also interested in purchasing 50 Sharp Tungsten PDA's

So that's it Scriptor. I have done all I can do. I have not yet
received a reply to my last email to them (the one above) Will let you
know when and if I do. Dont you feel bad about it. It is not your
fault. I think we just have to take five and start the search all over
again, if this falls over like it looks like doing. Going on for 1am
here now so I am definitely off to bed now.
Will be up again in five hours max. Nighty night. And thank you
anyway. From:bwll-77
It is just a pain in the butt when people mess you around like this.

Dear bwll77-ga,

I find the behaviour of Abyte most irritating, and must admit that I
have reached a dead end. There is nothing left for me to do that would
lead to a positive outcome. Since I failed to really provide you what
you requested, you are fully entitled to get back your money.
Please let the Google Answers Editors know that you want a refund. For
this purpose, simply use this form:

http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=refundrequest

In case you are unsure about the Google Answers policy on refunds, you
can have a look at the corresponding paragraph in the FAQ:
http://answers.google.com/answers/faq.html#refund
There is no doubt that your request for a refund will be accepted. If
you want, you can mention in the explanatory statement that I advised
you to demand the refund.
Please do not leave a rating for my answer, since this is not
necessary in such a case.

Again, I am very sad about all this.
Very best regards,
Scriptor

Attention: Scriptor-ga
Good Morning Scriptor;
It is now 6am here and it is also now after 5 hours since my last fax
to Germany. ( The one I displayed in total for you in my last
communication). This time they have not responded at all, which can
only mean that they dont really have any stock and have been playing
games all along. In this circumstance I will reluctantly do as you
suggest and seek a refund from Google. I thank you for your time and
effort. Kind regards from: bwll77-ga
Reason this answer was rejected by bwll77-ga:
I am seeking a refund on the suggestion of researcher: scriptor-ga
(please refer to his/her correspondence to me)
The answer provided turned out to be inadequate, as the stock supplier
falsely indicated to scriptor that they had stock available, when in
fact they did not. Thanking you and kind regards from: bwll77-ga

Probably another long shot, but it appears a Japanese site might
have one for sale:

SHARP CE-12C6p ... Small size The printer for PC-12**

Might I suggest you contact Sharp (Japan) directly, as they might
have some refurbs, or at least some leads.

They have a form at:

It is in Japanese, but here are the form's field titles,

WOW!!!!!!

I just found a U.S. supplier with 18 units, and they might be able to
get more.

These are refurbished CE126P's. They list for $49.96, but they'll let
them go for $45 a pop if you pick up the whole lot.

You can see them listed at:

and the company is:

P.S. I put a "hold" on the units under my name (which I can't give

Hello Roger,

I hope the information I provided leads you to the printers you are
looking for. But I just noticed Scriptor-ga's note to you about
requesting a refund for this question. If it's okay with you though,
I have an alternative option to suggest.

Leave this question intact, as is. Scriptor and I will straighten out
anything between us that needs straightening.

If you want to provide any additional payment beyond what you've
already offered, you can do so by posting a separate "question" (one
where any answer would do) and post it directly to the attention of
the researcher you want to compensate.

And please accept our collective apologies for any inconveniences
cause by Abyte's very odd way of conducting business.
