I have found William Moore's year and place of birth and year and
place of marriage. Would this information be sufficient?

HI, I believe that I have that information, but perhaps it would be
well to have what you found. But I was really hoping for more
information.

Could you post the information that you believe you have? That way, I
could get a better sense of whether I have interesting new information
for you. (I certainly wouldn't want to provide an answer that you
have already.)

He was my gggg grandfather, I do have his children, and his daughter
Jane Moore married my Alexander Douglass. I do know that he was an
associate of Daniel Boone. His FGS with Margaret Hudspeth, only states
that he was from NJ. So I don't have an idea about his parents or
siblings. I do believe that Crab Orchard Run, was in Madison County,
until the counties were changed when Garrard County was formed.
Starting when Madison County was formed.

Not long ago, I only had his name.

Thanks

Dear tooold,

I have found the names and approximate birthdates of Wm. Moore's 10
siblings, as well as his father's name and living dates. Would this,
in addition to what my Fellow Researcher justaskscott-ga has
mentioned, fulfill your needs?

Regards,
Scriptor

Dear tooold,

This is what I was able to find out about William Moore's birth,
marriage, parents, siblings, nieces and nephews:

William Moore was born ca. 1719 in New Jersey, the exact place is not
known. He married Margaret Hudspeth ca. 1745 in Granville, North
Carolina.

Edward Moore was born ca. 1695 in New Jersey, the exact place is not
known. In ca. 1718, he married, also in New Jersey, a woman whose
identity is only recorded as "Mrs. Edward Moore" and who was born ca.
1700 in the same state (of course, it was still a British colony
then).
Edward Moore died in 1774 in Granville, NC. It is not known when his
wife died, but her date of death must be after 1739, and the place was
most probably also Granville.
They had 11 children, of which William was the first:

-William Moore b: ca. 1719 in New Jersey
-James Moore b: ca. 1721 in New Jersey
-Diana Moore b: ca. 1723 in New Jersey
-Edward Moore b: ca. 1725 in New Jersey
-Richard Moore b: ca. 1727 in Granville, North Carolina
-Elizabeth Moore b: ca. 1729 in Granville, North Carolina
-Samuel Moore b: ca. 1731 in Granville, North Carolina
-Dempsey Moore b: ca. 1733 in Granville, North Carolina
-Noah Moore b: ca. 1735 in Granville, North Carolina
-Ezekiel Moore b: ca. 1737 in Granville, North Carolina
-John Moore b: ca. 1739 in Granville, North Carolina

About one of William Moore's siblings, the following is known:

-Edward Moore (Jr.) married Martha Thomsom (born 30 Nov 1724 in Salem,
New Jersey) on 10 Nov 1746 in Alloways Creek Township, Salem, New
Jersey. They had 10 children:

Sarah Moore b: 9 Aug 1749 in Wilkes, North Carolina
Mary Moore b: ca. 1754 in Orange, North Carolina
Elizabeth Moore b: ca. 1758 in Orange, North Carolina
John Moore b: ca. 1760 in Orange, North Carolina
Thomas Moore b: ca. 1762 in Orange, North Carolina
Martha Moore b: ca. 1764 in Orange, North Carolina
Joanna (Joaner/Johanah) Moore b: 17 Jul 1766 in Orange, North
Carolina
Edward Moore b: ca. 1768 in Orange, North Carolina
William Moore b: 1770 in Eastwood, Moore, North Carolina
Susie Moore b: ca. 1772 in Eastwood, Moore, North Carolina

Edward Moore (Jr.) died ca. 1790 in North Carolina, while no records
could be found concerning his wife's death.
