I have been diagnosed with cubital tunnel syndrome. This is when the
ulnar nerve is compressed, usually at the elbow. I have seen a doctor
and have been undergoing physical therapy. After 1 year I am no
better and I am close to surgery. I want a second opinion and I am
looking for the best surgeon for cubital tunnel.I want a doctor that
only does arm/hand surgery and preferably one that specializes in
cubital tunnel. Expense of surgery is not important, I simply want the
best surgeon. I live in Danville, Il so Chicago and Indianapolis
should have someone good. My current doctor is in Champaign, IL and
although he comes highly recommened, I am looking for options. Please
help!

Hello tomw92:

Thanks for the interesting question. I am sorry to hear about your
condition.

While it is next to impossible to determine the "best" surgeon in any
area, I have been able to do some extensive searching and come up with
what I feel are your two best choices in the Chicago/Indianapolis
areas.

I found these doctors by doing many different searches (some of which
I will detail at the end of this answer), then by looking for their
years of experience, publications, and accolades. You will need to
review some of the links I have provided you so that *you* can decide
which one would be ideal for your particular needs.
