It does not appear that the LIBOR system existed before the 1980s.

"The LIBOR system"

Would you be satisfied with rates for the past 15 years?

Hello simontempler-ga (a Saintly name, indeed!),

Here is a page from the British Bankers' Association (BBA) from which
you can download LIBOR rates since 1987.

"Historic BBA Libor Rates"
BBA
http://www.bba.org.uk/public/libor/41614/5036

Please let me know if you have any problems viewing the Excel files; I
can either point you to an Excel viewer that you can download, or find
the information in a different format (such as HTML).
