Hi robertov,
Having made a quick search of airports in China alone, at the latest
count there are over 140 airports operating commercial flights. Even
though it may be possible that duty free shops exist in these
airports, the information for them may not be readily available.
So can you please confirm if you are interested in duty free shops in
all airports, or only those located at international airports.

Secondly, would it be sufficient to provide contact information for,
for example, head quarters, within the city, for chains with branches
at airports?

Finally, how many stores are you seeking information for? In other
words, how many would suffice as a complete answer?
Thanks.

Hi robertov,
While awaiting your clarification, I spent most of the day working on
your question. However, I'll need to know your feedback on the
questions I asked you before I am able to go any further with my
research. I will then be able to inform you on what sort of
information is out there regarding airport duty free shops in your
requested countries.

Hi Rainbow
In response to your questions.
For China and Japan just the 10 largest cities with their airports
would be sufficient.
Obviously the airport retail chains that have a broad representation
would be excellent.
For each of the other countries the top 3 or 4 Airports would be
sufficient except Singapore with one.
I forgot to include Hawaii as one of the Pacific rim tourist
destinations for Asians which should be easy.
I hope that simplifies the task as I did not mean all the litle
domestic airports but primarily the airports used for international
travel.
Thanks
RobertoV

Hi RobertoV,
There are many sites for some of the airports you have specified, some
of which provide more information than others. However, in general,
most of the available information is limited to the location of Duty
Free shops, opening hours and sometimes a phone number. Very few give
out more information than that. Some don't even have a website. The
airport for which there is the most available information is Singapore
Changi Airport which is posted here as a comment by another
researcher.
I did find a subscription and a book which can be obtained for a fee
of $495.00 which may be of interest to you. These can be found at the
following site:
Travel Retail World
https://www.travelretailworld.co.uk/subscribe.asp?
The definite information I can offer you are contact numbers, and
email address (where available), for the airport itself. This
information is available for those airports you specified and others
as well.
Please let me know how you would like me to proceed. Thanks.

rainbow-ga

Rainbow
Thanks for your response.
I am aware of the travelretailworld magazines & service.
I wanted to try and get a second source to complement the public info
on their site as China was very weak.
If that is not possible then we will work with what we already have
have.
Thanks for trying.
