Although the product you mention ceased production almost 7 years ago,
I was able to find a few mentions of it online. First, the doll, made
by Ertl in the mid-1990's, although often referred to as "Jibba Jabba"
was actually called "Jibber Jabber."
The basic premise of the doll was that when you shook it, it' neck
wobbled back and forth and the doll emitted choking and strangling
sounds. Some people found it hilarious. Others found it offensive.
Production ceased around 1996 and the dolls were pulled from the
shelves because enough parents felt that the toy encouraged violence
in children.
