I understand how to get basic cd's/mp3's to play. The problem here is
that the "enhanced" portion of the cd is seperate from the music,
apparently my cd-rom wont read "multisession" cds. There must be a
way to do this. I do not pirate music from cds, i only want to be
able to listen to it on my pc and burn a copy for play in my car.

Yes, it is set on autorun thus "auto-runs" the ENHANCED portion. Upon
EXPLORING the drive, the AUDIO(music cd) portion of it is not found.
It plays the music portion fine on my cd player in my vehicle.

One way; if in Windows, you can go to My Computer, do a right
click on the CD ROM that contains the CD, the do a left click
on Explore.

Locate the audio files (they will have a file extension of
.wma, .mp3, etc.) and double click them or copy them to a
folder on your hard drive and them. If you know the type of
audio file (.mp3) that the CD contains, you can go to Start,
Search, For File or Folders, then search on the CD for .mp3
files, and then copy or play them as above.

If you belive your cd-rom supports multisession read, and it is not
reading the multisession, it might be a driver, prehaps you might have
installed a generic cd-rom driver that did not instruct the cd-rom on
how to behave when it reads a cd with a multisession. Since the big
computer companies got togather in 1996 (Apple, Microsoft, Sony and
Philips) They have set the standard of Multisession. If your cd-rom is
pre-1996 then it might not support multisession. If your cd-rom is not
multisession I have found a cheap one online you can purchass at
http://www.compusaveinc.net/show_item_full.cfm?item=CDRSA48XCDO&target=cdr.cfm
Best of luck.
