I need to find a restuarant in NYC that makes the best Lobster, Shrimp, or Seafood Bisque around. I have already tried Time Out NY magazine and Zagats and found a couple of places, but they are not THE BEST. Who knows of the BEST Bisque in NYC? |

guidyup-ga, I have it on very good authority from a friend who does a LOT of seafood eating in NYC that Captain's Quarters in Brooklyn has excellent bisque - he says it's the best. A couple of other places that were mentioned were the Strip House and Asia de Cuba. I haven't tried any of these places myself. Best of luck! arimathea-ga |

If Lundy's is still in business -- also in Brooklyn -- give them a try. I still have dreams (fond ones) about their lobster bisque and clam chowder. |

A really great source for answers to questions about where to get "the Best" anything food-wise, is www.chowhound.com. It's a foodie website, populated by food fanatics and professional restuarant critics and food writers. It not only has listings by city, but also a category called "THE BEST," where people post questions and opinions about everything edible. It's free, so you could either post a "best lobster bisque" query. . OR. . .search in the archives and see if that's already BEEN posted. The site is kinda addicting. . . just like this one. The writer Calvin Trillin once wrote a big article on chowhound in The New Yorker. |
