There are devices that cellular companies use to transfer a customer's
stored cell phone names and numbers to a different cell phone.

My questions are:

1. Please provide me with the name of this type of device?

2. Some examples of the various makers and how I can purchase one?

3. Specifcally I would like to be able to transfer data from AT&T
(Nokia) phones to Sony/Ericsson phones. What adapters or plugs will I
need?

This might interest you:

"Cellefony's MobileFileTransfer Software enables the user to easily
transmit data from a PC to any Cell phone or from one Cell phone to
another Cell phone."

It appears that this product would be able to transfer data from a
cell phone to your PC, and then to another cell phone:

Thank you very much for that information which is helpful and may have
to be a solution I choose.

I'm still looking for device that I have occasionally seen advertised
in the back of either Wireless Weekly News or RCR Wireless News which
is designed specifically to perform this data transfer between
cellular phones. It offers less functions, but may be more user
friendly.

Thanks again for the input!
