Find any research reports available on the open, consumer side of
Wi-Fi, also called WLAN (wireless LAN). We are not interested in
information on the business or "controlled" side (i.e., paid, secure,
high quality access). Instead, we are interested in the other side:
open access that is on the consumer side - "free, unsecured and
suspect quality" and would like answers to the following types of
questions:
* What types of applications are people using "open" WiFi for now?
* How will that evolve over time? For example, will you download a
movie or CD or newspaper from the WiFi network at the airport?

What is the size of this market? What are the demographics of people
using this market? How is this expected to change? What is the
likely time period?
Anything free is considered "open".

Are you interested in the global market or the U.S. market?

Actually, just the U.S. market for now, not the global market. Sorry.
