Produce a paper product, the wheels of paper must be grommeted together. The top wheel is merely a window the other wheel spins and has information on it which is viewed through the window of the top wheel. (The wheels must lay ontop of each other.) 3 to 5 Manufacturers and the grommets used must be small 1/8" diameter hole. Pictures of the grommets would be nice and any hand grommet fastner tools that are for sale. Thanks, Good Luck Also manufacturer must have ability to make 1,000's of units upon request. |

Howdy jelly888! These are known as dial charts or guide wheels. A major manufacturer of these is Perrygraf. http://www.perrygraf.com/ "At Perrygraf, we started with a visionto help every business achieve its sales and marketing goals through creative, accurate, beautifully designed dimensional communications products including Slide-Charts, Wheel-Charts and rubber band activated Pop-Ups." "As the original slide-chart communications company, Perrygraf has the experience and the expertise to translate your vision into business communications tools that have lasting impact on your market." Another producer of dial charts is Teraco, Inc. http://www.teraco.com/ "Teraco offers a wide variety of promotional, communication, and identification products designed to motivate customers and prospects." "Products include plastic cards, gift cards, rulers, luggage tags, ID cards, hotel key cards, custom calculators, and employee name badges. Services include personalization, fulfillment, and mailing." "Each group has unique appeal and can be tailored to nearly any budget, be it pennies or dollars per unit---or hundreds of items, or hundreds of thousands." Teraco, Inc. has more details on their dial charts at: http://www.teraco.com/Products/Calculators.html You might have to go through one of the various promotional outfits, such as the Promotional Products Shopping Mall, to get dial charts from other manufacturers, such as Norco: http://www.promomart.com/ Click the "Quick Search" drop down, select "Dial/Slide Chrts" and then click the "Go" button to get their list, including: "Woodrow - Quality professional measuring devices ..." "Norco - For all your guide wheel needs ..." "Plastic Printing ..." "Extra Special Promotions ..." "Dimensions - Need a wheel calculator?" "Pilgrim Plastic - See our great line of Dials & Slide Charts" Search strategy: promotional products ://www.google.com/search?q=promotional+products I knew about dial charts from my knowledge of promotional products, and the Promotional Products Shopping Mall site had the links to Perrygraf and Teraco, Inc. If you need any clarification with this answer, please do not hesitate to ask! Looking Forward, denco-ga |

denco, I have noticed that you seem to be pretty adept at finding things for other Customers, and at posting helpful Comments. You might consider studying the format of "full" Answers and practicing these in your future Comments, as a way of getting yourself noticed as a prospective Researcher. Best wishes, ace |

Howdy jelly888-ga! I just reviewed you other question at: http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=178746 and saw that I got lucky (I had not read the other question in detail before Commenting on this question) in that the two main companies I listed are in California and Texas! Anyway, as to your other questions: A place that has grommet and snap setting machines: http://www.decorativenails.com/snaps/machines.htm which appears to be a subset of products from: http://www.snapfastener.com/ Snap Fastener is also King Richard: http://www.kingrichard.cc/grommets.htm The following has "Midget Grommet Setters": http://www.campbell-bosworth.com/handtool/tools/grm-snap.html The following is a falconry (!) site but it has (with pictures): - Screw-Type Stainless Steel Grommet Setters - Grommets - Grommet Pliers http://www.northwoodsfalconry.com/index.cgi?cat=%2FGrommet%20Setters%20%26%20Grommets&rm=listitems (if the above does not work for you use http://www.northwoodsfalconry.com/ and click on Grommet Setters and Grommets on the left hand side of the page) The following has a good variety of setters, etc. and (finally, at least for me...) explains some of the sizing nomenclature; it appears that a #00 is what might do best for you at a "finished hole diameter of 5/32" or 4.5mm and a finished grommet diameter of 7/16" or 11mm.": http://www.farthingales.on.ca/grommets.php The following claims to have "the ultimate snap & grommet pressing tool": http://www.pressnsnap.com/pns.htm More supplies and picture at: http://nt.bnt.com/talas/menu.html?category=136 A tips page is at: http://www.farthingales.on.ca/grommet_tips.htm For whatever it is worth, it appears that the #00 is the smallest size you can get on a regular basis. I realize your specs are calling for a 1/8" grommet, but I think you might make your life easier by going with 5/32". Search criteria: "1/8" grommet "grommet setters" "grommet setting" "#00" grommets |

Howdy aceresearcher-ga! Much thanks for kind Comment! Well, if there was a sense that there was a process in place wherein one could become "official" by virtue of being "noticed" in posting Comments, I might try going the "full" format route. Lots of the time I go for speed versus form so as to try to avoid the "lock" process. For instance, it could be argued that adding the search criteria doesn't really add to the Comment for the Customer, as (for me anyway) a fair amount of the research process is wading through the search results, or is a (somewhat) unintuitive (or disassociative) process, or based on personal knowledge. At times, other parts of some of the "full" Answers seem to (trying to say this nicely) unnecessary. Looking Forward, denco-ga |

denco, While perhaps sometimes seeming unnecessary, these "niceties" are required of Researchers by the Rules and Procedures. One of the reasons is to avoid possible assertions of copyright infringement by making sure that sources are accurately credited. For instance: "Farthingale's Fabrics of Canada provides an excellent page of Tips on How to Set Grommets at: http://www.farthingales.on.ca/grommet_tips.htm " The main reason for including Search Strategy is to assist the Customer to be better able to perform their own Internet Searching (and again, it's required as one of the items Researchers are required to include in their Answers). As for developing a sense that there is a process in place wherein one could become "official" by virtue of being "noticed" in posting Comments, I have only two words for you: Pinkfreud and Aceresearcher Best wishes, ace |
