I have to wear human hair extensions for medical reasons. I buy the "best" quality but really have trouble in keeping the hair beautiful and tangle free (though I follow all instructions.) I suspect that the manufactuers are less than forthright in how to "care" for the hair b/c it is a commodity that is continually replaced. My question is: any advice on products (especially silicone-based) or tips on how to keep the extensions healthy. I am caucasion, can not use an oil-based product and tired ! of spending 100's each month to replace a new weave. Thank you in advance. M |

This may sound strange, but a friend who uses human hair extensions tells me that the best product she has found for detangling, smoothing, and adding shine is Equinique Smooth-Shine Detangler, which is designed for grooming horses: http://www.smartpakequine.com/productinfo.asp?productid=2109664542 My favorite product for grooming my human hair wigs is Citre Shine Mist: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemID=3942/Hair/Citre_Shine/Shine_Mist/ |
