Dear Ironman61,

Have you requested your earnings report and benefits statement
from the Social Security Administration (SSA) yet?

You can do it online.
https://s00dace.ssa.gov/pro/batch-pebes/bp-7004home.shtml

That will show your reported earnings for each year.

If you have, and it doesn't show your IRS earnings,
I'll be happy to track down a phone number at IRS.

If you haven't, and you want me to check around anyway,
I can call a friend or two at IRS and ask them.

Best wishes

Your TaxMama-ga

Ironman --

Have you tried getting a copy of your Social Security earnings
statement? Or is it at odds with your records?

Best regards,

Greetings, ironman61!

I spoke with a very nice woman at the IRS' Human Resources office
Washington, DC, and she gave me the names and phone numbers for a
couple of Personnel Representatives who should be able to help you
obtain proof of your employment from January to April 1969, including
the amount of Social Security Tax deducted from your earnings during
that time.

For obvious reasons of confidentiality, they will only discuss this
information with you, so I would not be able to speak with them on
your behalf.

Ironman61,

If you contact one or both of the Personnel Representatives I
mentioned, they should be able to help you obtain proof of your
employment from January to April 1969, including the amount of Social
Security Tax deducted from your earnings during that time.

Their names and phone numbers are located here:
