Does this version of the song have words? Is it played with
traditional polka instruments? When and where did you hear it?

Also, out of curiosity, what did you mean by "I looking under a
skirt"? I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, but it sounds naughty.

Greetings, judtz9029!

The lyrics you are seeking, as well as a polka-ish midi playing the
music, are available on Varlo's page:
"I'm looking under a skirt of wonder
that I've under looked before.
First is the ankles,
and second the knees.
Third is the panties that blow in the breeze.
No need explaining the one remaining
the one that I adore.
I'm looking under a skirt of wonder
that I've under looked before."

It is I'm looking under a dress I wonder why I never looked before,
the rest is very cute, a little suggestive but cute. It is in polka
time to I'm looking over a 4 leaf clover. A 81 yrs lady heard it on
Polka time years ago and wanted the words.

Greetings, judtz9029!

Since you said, "I am looking for the song (I looking under a skirt)
played to the tune I'm looking over a 4 leaf clover.",

I believed that I had found what you were seeking, since the link in
my Answer starts out "I'm looking under a skirt".

I have not been able to find any reference to words beginning "I'm
looking under a dress". If you wish, I will ask the Editors to remove
my Answer.

As far as I can tell, there is only one recorded version of that song,
by Jerry Lee Lewis. It is definitely not in polka time, but is done
in Lewis's honky-tonk piano/vocal style. It is apparently used as
music for "line dancing" as well. I can tell you where to purchase the
CD if this is what you are looking for.

In response to your comment, here is a link to a page containing a
short audio clip of the Jerry Lee Lewis recording:
Tower Records: "Honky-Tonk Rock & Roll Piano Man

The brief piece of the lyric included in the clip contains the word
"skirt" -- not "dress" -- in the first line.
