Hi there,

A number of web sites list the Top 50 Movies at the Box Office for
each year:

Box Office Guru
Annual Top 50, 1997-present

Variety
This info is available to subscribers only, but fortunately they offer
a free one month trial (you'll need to sign up). Weekend charts going
back to 1994. Annual Top 250, 1999-present, and various other charts.

I trust that this answers your query. Feel free to request
clarifications on any aspect of my response.

Here's one more page. It has top 50 movies since 1985, and it was not
in "Google Directory - Box Office Reports" or "Yahoo Directory - Box
Office Reports" at 10:25 GMT (or at 3:25 PDT):

Movies.com (click "Select Year")

In case of movie related topics, I always check out IMDB first. In
this case it also provided lots of useful information:

Back pretty far, but they don't have top 50 for every year.
