Greetings, Jeannie!
The URL that you are seeking is
http://dear_raed.blogspot.com
While I did have to delete one of the two underscores between "dear"
and "raed" in the URL that you listed above, it may be that be that
you were having trouble accessing the site because of problems caused
by an extremely high volume of traffic to that particular site,
because of all the publicity the site has received.
Today the site says:
"The last two days we didnt have internet access. I thought that was
it and started what a friend called a pblog, what you will read is
what should have been the entries for the 22nd and 23rd.
Blogger and Google have created a mirror to this weblog at
[dearraed.blogspot.com] for those of you who have trouble with the
underscore in the URL. There are not enough words to thank the people
at Blogger for their help and support."
So, if you are trying to access this site and you have trouble with
the URL I listed above, you can also try the alternate URL:
http://dearraed.blogspot.com
A search on Google News ( http://news.google.com ) for "raed" leads to
the following article published in the Philadelphia Inquirer Online
today:
"A 'blog' goes silent, and world holds its breath; Thousands read
"Salam Pax," who says he posts a Web log from Iraq" By Beth Gillin,
Inquirer Staff Writer (March 27, 2003):
"On Friday... A short time later his Web log, "Where is Raed?"
(www.dearraed.blogspot.com), went dark, and fans around the world
began to worry.
Had an errant bomb fallen on his house? Had the Iraqi government shut
down his Internet service? Or was the blog a fraud, an intelligence
front that had hastily shut down? Who could say?...
Pax posted this at 6:05 p.m. Friday in Baghdad (10:05 a.m. in
Philadelphia): "2 more hours until the B52's get to Iraq."
Then, for three days, nothing. His site was inaccessible.
Was he dead? As it turns out, no. Traffic to his jury-rigged blog had
blown out servers on two continents."

It seems that everyone else was having the same problem accessing
Salam Pax' blog, but that the problem has been resolved, at least for
the moment.
