To whom can one report and/or publicise a serious saftey hazard in a kitchen hand blender of a known British manufacturer who does not respond to e-mailed complaints? The flaw could result in a swallowing of a little sharp screw which is may be ditached from the appratus during useage into the blended food. Imagine it happens with opaque baby food.... |

Hi Alik, Product safety throughout the EU is governed by Community law. Each EU country must guarantee the protection provided by Community law in regard to general product safety and liability for defective products. If you are in the UK, you can contact your local authority trading standards department. Phone numbers and contact details can be found in your local telephone directory. Or you may be able to find your local office listed here Trading Standards Central http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/ The below website explains the Community law rules regarding product safety and then details how those regulations are enforced in each EU country. If you are not in the UK, then find your country on the below website for instructions on who to contact.
