Hello flexibility,

There are several good software programs that will help you:

"NoAds stops Internet popup ads from getting in the way of your web
surfing. NoAds is fully configurable, allowing you to specify which
ads you want to be destroyed automatically. It supports most popular
web browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape
Navigator, America Online, and Opera. The program is very easy to use,
and stays running in the system tray for quick access."

Web Washer is a free program (for personal users) and is capable of
eliminating popup windows as well as many other features:

PopUpKiller is another popular program used to stop advertisements
from taking over system resources. You can find "the ultimate killing
machine" here:

The above three programs work with Microsoft Windows. If you are not
using a Windows Computer, you can find all sorts of popup blockers
at this website for Unix, Macintosh etc.:

If you need any clarifications regarding this answer, please let me
know and I will do my best to further assist you.

You may also want to check out the Opera Web browser, which has a
pop-up blocker built right in.
