i'm trying to get a speargun sent to Australia from Hawaii. It's 63" long and USPS don't send anything longer than 48". FedEx and UPS are quoting me around $200 US to send it (it's worth $170). I would love to be able to send it by sea freight but all I can find is around $400 US for a cubic meter. I've looked everywhere! I just want someplace that can transport my speargun from Hawaii to Australia over a few weeks on a boat and not charge me much for it. | |

Assuming a package 5-inches in height, 5-inches in width and 68-inches in length weighing 5lbs from Honolulu-Sydney, DHS seems to quote a price of $130.63. Probably more than you're looking for, since it's very close to the price of the speargun, but it's the best I could find. Sorry! |

Also, that rate was found at http://www.dhs-usa.com (Which appears to be different than their corporate site at http://www.dhs.com). |

Have you tried regular parcel post ? Also be sure to check the Customs regulations on importing weapons into Australia. |
