What is the nature of your request in reference to this download?

I found this post from June 1998.
"Wordperfect 5.1 is not abandonware! Corel (or whoever owns them)
still
sells, licenses, and supports WP 5.1. Even if abandonware were a
legally
recognized category, WP5.1 certainly would not fit."
SOURCE: http://www.technoir.nu/hplx/hplx-l/9806/msg01597.html

I have not found anything which suggests that Corel has allowed people
to distribute WordPerfect 5.1/5.2. If you have reason to believe
otherwise, please let us know the nature of this source?

I want to be able to download (or even buy offline) a working copy of
WP 5.1 or 5.2 for use with DocuDraft in CMS OPEN (from Solution 6).
Solution 6 only supports WP 5.2/5.2 or RTF formats. RTF is not an
option for us. We currently use WP9 and save as 5.1/5.2, but certain
adevanced features don't translate properly. I am willing to purchase
this from Corel if possible, but have not found a way to do so.

In the previous clarification "5.2/5.2" should read "5.1/5.2".

Hi nelson,

I have found 3 copies of WordPerfect 5.2 (for Windows on 3.5" disks)
at a couple of online places. Two of them are brand new and still in
the shrinkwrap, and one is used. A fourth copy is used and comes on
5.25" disks, which may not be of use to you.

Please let me know if this would answer your question.

Regards,
sldreamer

Hi! Would you settle for an auction site with Wordperfect 5.2 for
windows in 3.5" diskettes?

I would prefer a non-auction site.

Hi nelson,

There are two copies of WordPerfect 5.2 for Windows for sale on
Half.com (a non-auction site owned by eBay).

One of the copies is brand new and still in the original shrinkwrap,
so it comes with all the 3.5" disks and manuals. It is selling for
$25 (not including shipping). Here is the description of it on
Half.com, which also contains a link to let you buy it:
http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/inv.cgi?offer_id=1127708909&meta_id=5&cpid=1127708908&domain_id=2265

The other copy on Half.com is in "like new" condition (in other words
it has been used). But it does come with all the 3.5" disks and
manuals, and it is selling for $24.95 (not including shipping). Here
is the description of it on Half.com, which also contains a link to
let you buy it:
http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/inv.cgi?offer_id=1105646991&meta_id=5&cpid=1105646990&domain_id=2265

If you are going to buy one of these copies on Half.com, be sure to
take a look at these coupons, as you may be able to save $5 (Half.com
is the third store listed on the page):

You might be able to get a cheaper copy if you buy it from the eBay
auction site. There is currently an auction for a brand new
shrinkwrapped copy of WordPerfect 5.2 for Windows with all the 3.5"
disks and manuals. The current bid is $9.95 and the auction ends on
April 2 at 19:02:57 PST (just over 4 days from now). Here is the
description/bidding page on eBay:

If any part of this answer is confusing, or if you need help buying
any one of the items I have listed, please request a clarification
before rating the answer.

Search strategy:

Searched for "wordperfect 5.2 windows" on Half.com (
http://www.half.com/ ) and eBay ( http://www.ebay.com/ ).

The coupon link comes from JumpOnDeals.com (
http://www.jumpondeals.com/ ), a site that I regularly check for
coupons for online retailers.
