Has anyone noticed the bad design of computer keyboards today. Whenever I place my mug of coffee on the keyboard to stir in the sugar it will invariably topple over and slop. My previous computer had a cup holder that slid out from the front, a well thought out design. My current one (an iMac) does not. Any one any suggestions on the problem? Is it worth posting this as a qestion? |

Kemlo, To be qite frank there is a slight misunderstanding on your part; the item identified as coffee "cup holder" is actually not that, since hot liqids might well damage the hardware. Instead it is suited to hold Cold Drinks ("CD") only -- like Coca-Cola [1], Pepsi Cola [2], Sprite [3], Schweppes [4], and Almdudler [5]. My suggestion for an alternative effective cup holder: 1. Put the coffee mug on top of a mousepad 2. Use a pen to draw a circle around the mug 3. Cut a hole the size of the circle 4. Repeat ten times with colleague's mousepads 5. Glue the mousepads together You will now find this stack of aligned mousepad holes makes the perfect coffee cup holder. As to your second qestion, "Is it worth posting this", I would say "yes". If nothing else, for the $1.5075 I can order a coffee in this cyber cafe and qench my thirst. Hope it helps! qemlo, These items may be of interest: Softconnect http://www.softconnect.com.au/pages/products/cupholder/ Cyber Drinkholder http://www.cyberdrinkholder.com/drinkholder.htm Of course, if by "cup holder" you mean something like this... Monitor Technologies LLC http://www.monitortech.com/Images/CD/Tray.jpg ...then you're right out of luck, since I would never, never answer a question that was asked in a facetious manner. ;-) ~Pink |

"The Founders" of the PC had the amazing thoughtfulness to plan for the anticipated "Coffee Quandry" that you have noticed. Visualy scan the other workstations in your vicinity Find an unused (at the moment) device called a "Mousepad" and turn it over. Its absorbent soft underside may now be used to protect your worksurface from spillage from coffee and other essential supplies. Return to it's original position on your co-workers desk before they return! |

Hi, Melko I am pleased to see that you have adopted the new Law that I promulgated recently ... No 'U' after 'Q' ... And, case you wondered, The Qeen also approves. Rgds B |

kemlo, Perhaps what you really need is one of these: http://www.twistedgifts.com/catalog/items/item287.htm With this handy device, you will always be able to access your beverages, unless you somehow manage to misplace your head. |

You're kidding, right - your old computer had a cupholder that slid out the front? Like, the CD drive? |
