I am wondering if there are career opportunities in the field of
public health, specifically epidemiology-related, that would be
available to a college grad (B.S.) in engineering? specifically, do
epidemiologists have a staff of underlings typically performing
modeling and data analysis tasks? If so, is there a good web site(s)
which lists postings of such positions?

Hello jkopp-ga,

Congratulations on finishing your degree. I’ve collected a variety of
Web sites for you to help you explore the fields of epidemiology and
public health where you could use your engineering degree in a data
modeling/analysis job. The job posting sites should give you a good
overview of what’s available, the possible job titles and what is the
vocabulary/jargon for the field when you’re ready to prepare your
resume. I’ve also included some general resources so you can explore
your options further. In today’s tough job market, the more research
you’ve done about your field, the greater the likelihood that you’ll
be able to sell yourself in your resume and while interviewing.

Good luck with your job search.

Thanks czh, I'm impressed. Also thank you for the congratulations,
though I've been out of school for a few years (still have the
occasional P-Chem nightmare/flashback, wasn't so long ago), all my
experience in my half-decade amidst the working world is in semicon.
process engr. I'm hoping to do something different for the next job
someplace down the road, wherever it leads--where my work might help
folks a bit more directly. Anyway, point is, this google thing y'all
