Im looking for the total number of searches montetized by
pay-for-placement search engines. So this would include google
adwords, all overture ads, etc. But I need a total market estimate
not just those two added together.

When you consider that every major search engine has PPC listings on
their search results pages, the answer is going to be very similar to
the total number of regular search engine searches made.

Oops! I forgot that uncommon searches will not have any PPC results.
While it is possible to get some figures for major PPC players, I
could not find any figures for Google Adwords. Google has an average
of 150 million searches per day, but Google have not stated which
percentage of those featured text ads.
