On 9-11, did terorists, in the airplane that crashed in PA, insist that some passangers telephone family? To clearify the question: I want to know if the terrorists ordered some passengers to use their telephones. | |

Cincy, The general agreement of the media is that the phone calls were undertaken in order to inform authorities and family, alert them of the situation, and say good bye. I did not come across information that the terrorists ordered some passengers to use their telephones. For details, see: United Flight 93 - Compiled Phone Call Record http://event.commemoratewtc.com/phonecalls.php United Flight 93 - Phone Record, Continued http://event.commemoratewtc.com/phonecalls2.php Search terms: family "flight 93" phone |

It was said on several media stations, and radio stations that the passengers were NOT ordered to use their phones, at the terrorists did not stop them from using the phones. This was to cause more panic / grief in the United States. |
