Greetings notekie-ga,

Your first and second questions are somewhat subjective from the
buyer/seller point of view. There is no 'central' valuation tools to
determine values of domain names. There are several very good tools
available to determine marketability of a website, as well as
different ways of marketing a domain name.

Would it be possible for you to rephrase your first question? The only
answer that can immediately be given to the first question is, "only
what you paid for it unless someone is willing to pay more".

Thanks and best regards,

mosquitohawk-ga

Again, trying to follow your thought on the matter, let me say this
about the first part of your question. There is no way to know the
answer until you DO market it and see what others are willing to pay
for it. I believe that this is what my collegue was trying to suggest.

The second part of your question however (or at least the "to whom"
part) can probably be answered fairly easily. As for the "how to"
part, it's like anything else; you sell it through a broker,
advertising agency, auction, classified ad or other similar sales
method.

If you'd like for someone to give you ideas as to what types of
entities might be interested in such a domain name so you can pitch it
to them directly in a "for sale by owner" type approach, you may
consider altering your question again to that specific question alone.
I'm certain that there are a number of entities/professions that will
appear in the list of suggestions.

Hello. First of all I want to say that I do have some experience
buying and selling domain names so I'm speaking from experience and
not from doing 20 minutes of research.

The domain market is very slow at the moment. There are still
businesses starting up that need domains and domains are still being
bought and sold, but the speculation market is very slow at the
moment. By that I mean people willing to buy domains in the hopes of
reselling them at a higher price. This was a very larger market a
couple years ago.

As for your particular domain I would have to say that it is
practically worthless. This analysis is from
a)the fact that the domain is depressed anyway and
b)the limited uses for this domain name.

You can get a 'professional' appraisal for $10 at a place like
http://www.echoarts.com/ but I don't recommend it.

To sell it you need a buyer...since speculators are not buying, then
you would need to find someone building a site that could use this
name which is not likely or if one does exist have them find you which
is even more unlikely.

With that in mind if you still want to try to sell it
http://www.afternic.com will list it for $9.95 a year. You can list as
many domain names as you want for this price. If you're going to list
it anywhere this is *the* place to do it. There are plenty more places
you can find that will take your money to list it, but I would save
your money. http://www.greatdomains.com would be my second choice
although they currently seem to be in a state of transition right now.

I don't know who you registered the name with, but it's possible they
have a free service that will allow you to park your domain with a
'for sale' sign on it. Hey you never know!

Good luck and sorry I couldn't give you better news.

An honest, straight forward reply and likely very accurate. Thanks for your effort.
