I am looking for the min, max, and average cost (roughly) for a real
estate photographer in the caribean, as well as, for pacific islands
for sale. Specifically ariel pictures. For example,

Hi,
I think your question will be much easier if you zero in on something
more, maybe by splitting it in parts. The Pacific is just too vague,
for example. As well, the difference between a professional
photographer shooting the site and structures on the ground and hiring
an airplane and completely different price ranges. I do commercial
real estate shooting at times and know something of where to start,
but the geographics and the specific kinds of pictures will alter your
prices from $100 to well over a thousand, depending on everything.
Most of all, do you plan to fly someone in or find someone "local" at
each site? Can you see the problems giving such estimates? Thanks.

Just realising that you may mean ONLY a fly over (just an island
somewhere). My fault. Location is still everything, relatively.

Thanks for your quick comments. Yes, I am talking specifically about
ariel pictures. As far as a local taking the pictures or an outsider
taking them I would contribute the cost difference into the min and
max part of the answer. As far as geographics go, I am speaking about
the Bahamas in the Caribean and New Zealand in the Pacific.

In essence I am looking for a table:

            | Min | Max | Avg
------------------------------
Bahamas | | |
------------------------------
New Zealand | | |
------------------------------

with rough estimates in each of the six cells.

Not an answer, just a comment. I charge a $600 day rate + expenses +
travel.

Assuming no travel costs, and no assistants, and small format printing
(one half, or perhaps one full page magazine), you'd be looking at a
Full day's rate, plus an airframe 2-3 hours at $75-100/hour, and pilot
for $50-100/hour. That'd buy you my day at the worksite scouting,
getting to a nearby airport, shooting a dozen rolls of medium format
film, and delivering proofs in a digital format. Additional fees will
vary with intended publication. If it's going on your office wall, no
extra fees. If it's going to be used for the next 3 years as the
centerpeice for a major marketing campaign the liscene fee will b
considerable. Large format images will cost MUCH more as a purpose
built/modified aircraft will be required for such a job. You do need
to offer more specifics in order to get a better estimate.
