I want to obtain general market data, maket size, names of top manufacturers for the "telephone apparatus Manufacturing" industry. This includes corded (wire connected) and cordless telephones for home and for business use. Ideally I would like to know the number of new phones sold in the US and worlwide in 2000, 2001,2002 and projections and predictions for future. I am interested in both IP and Non IP phone (analog) phones. I do not want data information on wireless phones I do not want links to market research reports that cost $1000+. | |

I sympathize with not wanting links that cost $1000. At some internet sites I have had to enter fake credit card numbers to find out even the approximate cost of the goods or services. In the USA, cordless phones likely out-sell wire connected phones. The base station nearly always is an analog interface with the phone company even if the system is otherwise digital. If IP stands for internet provider phone, I know zero people who are using such a system, nor have I heard of phones designed especially for this application. If my wife and I are typical about 100 million cordless phones are sold anually in the USA. Replacement batteries cost almost as much as a new phones, and they seem to be poorly made as new batteries fix the problems only about half of the time. You mentioned telephone apparatus companies. Are you interested in the interface box that connects the network of wires in the house to the cable television cable or the phone companies wire. Are you interested in the dial central office equipment or the modums that allow computers to talk over telephone lines? Neil |
