We are writing a business plan. The business is insurance and warranties of cellular phones ( see www.phonesure.org ). I want to know statistics. Percentage and numbers who take out the insurance. How many stolem lost or damaged a year. How many phones inuse...Also am interested in how big the industry is in Europe in numbers, particulaly England. Any other relevant information you cone across such as competition etc. will be welcome. |

In the USA competion is feirce so users change companies every year or two, which typically gets them a free or cheap phone. A connection for charging our first cellphone broke off, but I was able to charge the battery by another means until our one year commitment was up, so that phone is idle in a drawer instead of repaired. I think it is difficult to activate a phone that is lost or stolen after the loss is reported, so thiefts are rare and lost phones are often returned. At least that is how I think it works typically.
