I would like to know where (specific website or company) I can
purchase a picture for my wall similar to the one in the movie "Van
Wilder" in the background of his dorm room with the big palm tree
scene that has several peices in frames making up the whole wall.

Greetings, germangurken!

Last year we installed something similar in our guest bedroom, so I
think I know exactly what you are seeking.

The mural we purchased was from a company called Komar Products GmbH.
You can see their tropical mural selections here:
http://www.komar.de/htdocs/eng/ftstrand_e.html

I found this by going to their website at
http://www.komar.de
clicking on "English", then placing my mouse over the word
"Photomurals" in the small menu along the bottom of the screen, and
clicking "Beaches":

The WallpaperInstaller.com website has a page of links to companies
producing similar products:

As does Decorating Dimensions:

Here are some tropical selections from companies listed on the above
sites:

Astek Wallcoverings

ScanDecor (through WashingtonWall.com):

Ideal Decor (through Decorating Dimensions):

World Photo Murals 2 (through Decorating Dimensions):

Environmental Graphics:

Stamford Murals (click through their 15-page catalog):

We purchased our mural through Lowe's and got a substantial discount
(40%) off suggested retail price; the mural was shipped directly to
our home. You do not say in what country you are located; in the U.S.,
both Lowe's and Home Depot stores' wallcoverings departments carry
large photomural catalogs and can order directly for you. If you find
something you like in the above listings, you might want to try
calling your local Lowe's or Home Depot to see if they can obtain it
for you at a discount.

thank you so much for your answer. I did have one clairfication.
These sites don't specify if they frame them just like the one in the
movie. With the whole wall mural made up of all the frames. Is that
what they do or do they just send you the whole thing? If you can't
answer that because its not part of the original question I
understand. Thanks

Were the parts of the mural framed liked pictures,

or like panes of glass in a window?
