It seems to me like a simple two stage process: (1) Dial the number in question (2) Ask "to whom am I speaking to?" |

I agree. There is a good chance they will identify themselves before you even say a word. This is the cheapest, easiest, most efficient way to find out. Remember to turn off caller ID! |

In Google, you can type the phone number in this format: (NNN) NNN-NNNN in the search window, and if any of the reverse directories have the number listed, it will come up. However, that number does not appear to have a listing in any of the reverse directories. |

It's probably an automatic dialer or a number from which pre-paid phone card service originates. I believe the pre-paid phone service is more a relay box than an answerable telephone number. Roger, the storage question is still locked by GA and I recently sent them an email to alert them to the mislock. I have the answer ready to post when the question comes open.
