Hi 4103:

Thanks for the fascinating question.

The short answer to your question is "absolutely nothing".

The long answer has to do with switching from Julian calendar to the
Gregorian calendar, which "wiped out" Sept. 3 through Sept. 13, 1752.
For more details see:

Time to Take Note: The 1752 Calendar Change
URL: http://www.ancestry.com/library/view/ancmag/3358.asp
Quote: "In order to make the calendar adjustment, eleven days were
dropped from the month of September 1752. An eleven-day adjustment in
1752 was needed because one more day had been lost since the calendar
was changed in 1582...2 September 1752 was followed by 14 September
1752"

September 3rd
URL: http://www.cviog.uga.edu/Projects/gainfo/tdgh-sep/sep03.htm
Quote: "1752 This day did not happen in Georgia or the other British
colonies. While the day before was Sept. 2, today officially was Sept.
14. As part of switching Julian to the Gregorian calendar, 11 days had
to be eliminated from the year 1752. Sept. 3 was the first casualty."

Good try!

But both Question and Answer were posted on 31 March and therefore
don't qualify for an April's Fool stunt.

Next year, I suggest you ask the question "What happened on March 31,
2003?"

And, of course, the answer should be "4103-ga screwed up on dates"

Probonopublico --

Perhaps thy screen indicates a different time from ours, but the
posting time is well into April 1 for Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), also
known as Coordinated Universal Time. But then thou might be located
in a different universe.
