local causes and issues, according to Cone, Inc.
Smyrna Mayor Mark G. Schaffer said the Wal-Mart distribution center
would make a significant contribution to the town’s economy. “The
announcement is certainly cause for celebration,” said Schaffer. “It’s
not only the jobs that will be created – the facility will enhance our
tax base, help support our school district, and create a catalyst for
attracting more new business to Smyrna.”
