can you refer me to some software that faciliates decision-making by
'tournamenting'. e.g. you enter alternatives as if they are playing a
match against each other and you pick a winner, then that winner plays
against another alternative. the ultimate match winner is your
favorite choice.

Hi -

Could you explain a little more in depth as to how this software
should work? Thanks.

you can go get this free software:
http://www.vanguardsw.com/decisionpro/Download.htm

this software is decision-tree based which is what i'm looking for,
but it's built for singular decision-making (one issue is the first
'parent') and appears to be designed for decisions that can be reduced
to economic values.

i'm looking for qualitative alternatives vs single economic problem
solving

Hi -

I haven't been working on this question. A clarification request
doesn't necessarily mean a particular researcher is working on a
question. If speed of the answer to this question is very important,
you may want to increase the list price.

Hi Holguinero,

See if you can find something that is exactly or similar to the
software you have in mind:

CNET Networks, Inc.
Search results for decision
http://download.com.com/3120-20-0-1-0.html?qt=decision&author=&titlename=&desc=&dlcount=&daysback=&swlink=&os=&li=&dlsize=&ca=

If you can't find the exact program you are looking for, please tell
us the name of the program that comes nearest to your requirement. If
you find the program that satisfies your need, please tell me so I can
post an answer. Thank you.

Feilong

'tennis tracker' comes close because it's designed to play one name
against the other. this is for tennis, but if they had set it up for 30
or 40 players to play in a big tournament then it might be ideal.
simple way to 'play' off one alternative against the other, and then
that winner play the other winners's and so on. am i confusing or
helping?
