In Chicago, walking along the Lake Shore Drive, I came across
scultured hands on pedestials (from infancy to elderly) - what is the

Would appreicate any information on this. Thanks!.

Hello.

The name of the sculpture is "The Touch of Jane Addams." The artist
is Louise Bourgeois.

The following descriptions matches what you saw:

"Arranged as a part of the new Jane Addams Memorial Park, this
sculpture was created by Louise Bourgeois. The sculpture consists of
six black granite pillars, each four feet tall, and topped with a
different type of human hand, ranging from that of a vulnerable child
to that of an able adult. Each hand was thoughtfully designed by the
Nobel prize-winning Addams who established the Hull House settlement
facility for new immigrants on the Near West Side in 1889."
