I am attempting to dial into a remote access server using a Sony Ericsson T68i (as a data modem) and a Windows CE device (Ipaq). The devices are paired together via bluetooth. My question is, how can I configure the Sony Ericsson T68i using AT&T Wireless GSM network service to handle data. I can conect to the Internet fine using the GPRS network, but I need to dial a phone number to access the server. No VPN solution is availble so GRPS will not work. An excellent answer would consist of details about how to configure the ATTWS GSM service on the Sony Ericsson 68i to allow me to connect to a ras server by dial-up networking |

Hi mule, I found a relevant discussion on the HP web site: http://bizforums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0xffb67680e012d71190050090279cd0f9,00.html The person who started the thread wanted to be able to do exactly what you are trying to do. Unfortunately, as of three months ago, AT&T Wireless did not allow dial-up on their GSM network. The last message in the thread, posted three weeks ago, suggests that they still do not allow it. The second to last message in the thread says that Cingular lets you dial-up over GSM, but I do not know if switching service providers is a viable solution for you. Regards, sldreamer |
