Hello anniswan,

I bet more than one person would love this solution, including myself.
The root of the problem is of course, the spiders.

After a bit of digging, here is what I came up with:

The first website I found pertains to horse stables, but it recommends
a simple soultion of Lysol. I imagine the slick coating prevents
possible adhesion, and the odor/chemicals keep spiders away.

Cobwebs Tip
"Cobwebs driving you crazy? Once you have them knocked down, wash the
walls with a Lysol solution..."
http://www.firsthorse.com/tip.htm

The second site I found sells a product designed specifically for this
purpose.

Excerpt from Web-Away
"All natural, non-toxic and biodegradable, Web-Away is sprayed full
strength on al kinds of different surfaces...."
http://www.nixalite.com/webaway.htm

Here is the brochure for this product, that states it can be used
indoors.
http://www.nixalite.com/pdf/webaway2.pdf

(You will need Adobe Acrobat to view the above brochure - it's free)
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

What a neat product!

Here is yet another product that will keep the spiders/webs from
coming back. It is non-toxic, 100% natural, and even approved for use
in schools :

Cobweb Eliminator
"Cobweb Eliminator will not stain and has no long lasting odor..."
http://www.biconet.com/crawlers/cobweb.html

Lastly I found a third alternative. It uses sound technology, and from
the many reviews on their website, it may be a viable option. One of
the customer comments on the site states:

Magnetosonic
"I had spiders and cobwebs and now there are none and no mice
anymore."

To assist with this answer, I searched Google for:

cobwebs get rid
://www.google.com/search?sq=cobwebs+get+rid

prevent cobwebs
://www.google.com/search?q=prevent+cobwebs

I hope this gives you a few leads and a good start in your efforts.
Please do not hesitate to ask for clarification before rating this
answer, as I would be more than willing to assist you in any way I
can.

Thanks for the question!
SgtCory

Thank you for your answers, it appears that these products are all
from the USA, I am in Australia, which I should have mentioned in my
initial question.

Hello Ann,

That's alright. I should have been the one to ask :-) Regardless - I
was able to find a couple of supplies in Australia :

GoodBye Cobwebs
"non-toxic spray that could keep cobwebs at bay for up to 6 months"
http://www.innovations.com.au/cda/product/sku/0,1568,3488-4,00.html

This one actually kills spiders. (More of a bug spray)
"Kills spiders and controls cobwebs for up to 3 months."
http://www.aerogard.com.au/product_spid.html

I used WebWombat to search for cobwebs
http://www.webwombat.com.au/aus?ix=cobwebs

This ends up being a tough search, as those are the only two viable
options I was able to readily find. I hope one of them is a reasonable
solution.

Thanks for asking for clarification, and good luck with the webs!
