I am loking for a reference for an essay due in tomorrow by 5pm, I
foung it previously on google but can not retraceit.  The author was
Roberts (1993) and the paper was on a survey of 10 000 Canadain women
and their past experiences with sexual assault.

I wasn't able to find your exact reference with numbers and dates that
match yours, but here's some info that should help you ---

I would guess your author is Julian V. Roberts who seems to have done
a great deal of research on Sexual Assault in Canada. References
include "Julian V. Roberts", "J.V. Roberts" and "Julian Roberts,."

One large study that was done in 1993 and includes a reference to
Roberts was the "Violence against women survey, 1993" ---

"Health Canada (the lead department) identified as a priority the
collection of national data on violence against women and requested
Statistics Canada to develop and administer this survey."

"OBJECTIVE:  The objectives of this survey were to provide reliable
estimates of the nature and extent of violence against women by male
partners, acquaintances and strangers and to examine women's fear of
violence in order to support current and future federal government
activities."
