I am looking for about a dozen of Sony telephone cord handset
detanglers, model number TL-F3. As I understand it, Sony is no longer
in the business of making telephone accessories. A picture of this
device can be seen here: http://www.sousley.com/500/5125.htm Note the
model number is TL-F3 not TL-3F. Sources for this device should be
from a vendor that will accept phone, mail, or online order. Online
orderability is preferred. Good luck!

Hi there, I gave it a quick stab, and this is all I found.

Here is one site Sony Direct Accessories & Parts Center that at least
lists the Sony Handset Cord Curl Detangler, at $5.99 each. But it
appears to be discontinued. You might try calling their number
(1-800-488-7669 ) to see what they say about it.

Everyone else out there says they, like you, wish they could find the
real Sony version, because the substitutes are inferior.

Good luck!

Maybe I'm missing the point here. Just suspend the handset by its
cord and it will untangle itself.

I have spoken to Sony and several of their outlet stores. There was no
info available, just a generic "that item has been discontinued."

The whole point to this is, for instance in an office situation; the
handset is picked up and put back down many, many times per day. At
the end of each day, the handset cord is invariably a tangled mess, so
much so that the cord is ruined after a period of time. With this
simple device, the problem of tangled cords is completely eliminated.
Given the angle at which the handsets of my Nortel phones sit on their
bases, other types of detanglers cannot be effectively used with these
phones. Why manufacturers have not yet included rotating contact rings
in their handsets from the beginning, is a mystery to me.

Try going on Ables.com and look at their detangler. Or Vincent.com.

Try recommending some useful links. If I were trying to get my name at
ables.com, that would be great. It turns out the Vincent.com is rather
useless as well, at least at this time it does not lead to anything
useful.
