Hi Gizmo: Please note that Googles Answers Researchers are independent contractors and we are certainly not privy to the inside workings of Google's search engines or its closely-guarded algorithms. You didn't mention when you had submitted your site to the search engines, but I noticed that your site does not show up on Alta Vista, MSN's search and I couldn't find it listed in the DMOZ directory. Google's search engine crawls the web about once a month, so if you have only recently submitted your site to the search engines, it could take as long as six weeks to show up on the search engines. Google's Information for submitting your site and an explanation on how best to get your site listed can be found here: ://www.google.com/webmasters/1.html#A2 This information for Webmasters also gives you a rough idea how the search engine works and some information on page ranking. There is further important information In Google's Design and Content Guidelines which can be found here: ://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html I noticed that your metatags were built by Scrub The Web. While they offer a submission form, it would be best to submit to Google using their form, as Google states in its Guidelines, "Don't use unauthorized computer programs ... such as Web Position Gold™ that send automatic or programmatic queries to Google." While making no promises if and when your site may appear in Google's search engine, they suggest having content rich sites with other sites linked to yours and if you wish to submit, using their form to do so. See Google's Add URL page at: ://www.google.com/addurl.html Search terms used - - search engine submission - search engine ranking - Google search engine submission Hope this helps, Serenata |

Greetings, gizmo11! According to Google, there are NO other websites in its index which contain links to -- or even text strings of -- http://www.financial-shopper-network.com . Because of Google's secrecy, it is not known for absolute certain, but the general consensus among webmasters is that Google only indexes backward links for a page if IT has a Page Rank higher than 3, and only indexes the backward links that are coming FROM pages with a Rank higher than 3. From Senior Forum Member "Beachboy" at WebmasterWorld: "Your index page is PR3, Google won't show any inbound links unless the page you're doing the query on is PR4 or greater." http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/4784.htm?highlight=inbound+links+higher From Senior Forum Member "Birdman" at WebmasterWorld: "It is thought that Google only shows backlinks from pages that have a pr4 or higher." http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/7309.htm?highlight=inbound+links+higher So, in order to improve your own Page Rank and get Google to index the backward links to your site, you want to try to get other sites with a Page Rank of 4 or higher to link to your site. Regards, aceresearcher |
