There's a song in this movie (starring Marilyn Monroe & Robert Mitchum, directed by Otto Preminger)where Marilyn is playing guitar, singing to Mitchum's "son"... It's about the "four winds" -- north wind, west wind, etc. One of the choruses is something like: Down in the meadow, under the brook, catfish are waitin' for the hook... Old lady blackbird winks at the scarecrow, Scarecrow's waving at the moon. Old Mr. Moon makes hearts everywhere go "thump thump" With the magic of June... So, anyway, looking for complete lyrics for this song, and also info regarding who wrote it and whether it was written specifically for this film or already existed. Thanks! |
