Semioty is an old Western medical technique for diagnosing changes
within the body from the appearance of the tongue. It was used by
doctors up until around 50 years ago and is still used by some
naturopaths. It should not be confused with the tongue diagnosis that
is used by traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic (Indian) physicians as
this varies from Semioty in both philosophy and applications.

I need imformation on how to use Semioty in a modern clinical setting
(and a little bit of history on the subject would not go astray).

Please note that I already have the limited information that is
available from clients.net2000.com.au and the book 'Reading the Eye,
Pulse and Tongue' by Eli Jones.

Thanks and good luck.

Is this the sort of diagnostic information that you're looking for?

I phrased my previous clarification rather poorly. In posting the link
from clients.net2000.com.au, I wasn't trying to offer an answer; I
just wanted to determine whether what you're seeking is information
along the same lines.

May we assume that if material comparable to the
clients.net2000.com.au page can be found, that this would suffice as
an answer?

Yes, the information that is on that website is along the same lines
that I require. Hopefully any answer you post would include more
detail than the limited info at that site. Please note that I need
credible information that can be put to practical use in a healthcare
setting. The website we have discused was written some time ago by
deceased Australian naturopath Simon Schott. Although he is generaly
regarded as credible, he does not give any reasons for why his
statements should be accepted. Hope this all helps. Cheers, celtman.

Note to Researchers:

In case anyone is concerned about not stepping on my toes, I am *not*
actively researching this question. The clarifications I posted above
were for informational purposes.
